Destination Elopement Photographer
Intentional celebrations in breathtaking places, photographed with care.
A destination elopement takes everything people love about getting married and turns the volume up in the best way.
Youβre not just choosing a beautiful place to get married. Youβre choosing a shared experience. New streets, new flavors, new views, and the kind of day, or a week that feels like a story youβll tell for the rest of your lives. The stories youβll bring home are the point. They become part of the foundation of your relationship, the way you choose to celebrate, and the way youβll remember what mattered most.
And itβs not only for the two of you. If you invite family or a few close friends, it becomes a trip everyone actually feels. A family meal youβll talk about for years. A hike at sunrise. A city night that turns into a toast. The wedding is woven into the wedding experience, not separated from it.
The best part is how naturally it flows into your honeymoon. No hard stop. No rush back to real life. Just more time in a place you chose on purpose, already in celebration mode, fully present.
A destination wedding can be intimate and effortless, while still feeling elevated, meaningful, and completely unforgettable.
We knew we made the right choice long before the photos arrived.
β We are so glad we chose Will. He made our day beyond exceptional. Heβs personable and easy to get along with, which made the day run so smoothly. Before the wedding, we had plenty of face time with Will, where he went over the details, answered so many questions, and was available anytime we wanted to jump on a call to go over planning. We had a few weather changes, but he was prepared for any unforeseen circumstances and location shifts. We knew we had made the right choice long before our day, and receiving our photos confirmed it all over again. β

β Will helped us with our trip in Italy, we were thrilled eloping in the Dolomites with a follow-up photoshoot in Venice, and his suggestions were thoughtful and never felt generic or recycled. β
Nina & Will | Dolomites & Venice, ItalyA Quick Note On How I Work
Being a destination elopement photographer isnβt about showing up and finding a pretty view. While that also matters, itβs about creating space for you to actually enjoy the day, then photograph what unfolds.
Iβll give direction when you want it, step back when you donβt, and keep things moving with calm leadership. The result is simple: a day that feels like you, and photos that hold onto the feeling.
I believe the best photos come from understanding your vision, your personalities, and how you want the day to feel before I ever pick up the camera.
My close involvement with planning is intentional and purposeful.
After years of photographing couples, it is only right for me to show up fully aware of your plans, what you love, how you envision the day, how you connect, and your comfort level with me as your photographer.
This understanding creates amazing experiences and results in genuine, beautiful, in-the-moment photos you'll treasure for years to come.

β Right from the start, Will was very communicative and helped with planning and scheduling. He did all the research on locations in Italy, which made everything so easy because all we had to do was show up and enjoy. The day was fun and casual, and we had an absolute blast, which shows in our pictures. β

What Are Scouted Wedding Destinations?
Scouted elopement and wedding destinations are places Iβve personally explored and photographed, with real wedding days in mind. That matters because destination planning gets way easier for you (and way more elevated) when weβre able to collaborate on choosing the right area, the right time of day, and the right experience based on what actually works in real life, not just what looks good online. You get curated recommendations for stays, routes, portraits, and the βtrust me, I know a spotβ approach, plus a plan thatβs built around smooth logistics, beautiful light, and your priorities. The goal is simple: you show up, feel taken care of, and walk away with a vacation-turned-wedding that looks as good as it felt.

Destination Elopement Photography Bucket List
Bucket list destinations are places Iβm actively prioritizing and pre-scouting for couples who want something iconic, meaningful, and a little unreal. These locations inspire the way I see, photograph, and tell stories, so itβs never treated like βjust a photoshootβ; itβs an experience youβll remember for the rest of your lives.
With Bucket List Locations, you receive the same detailed support: flexible timeline guidance, experience-based location ideas, and a calm, dialed approach throughout the whole process.
Iβm honored and grateful to couples who trusted me in the past to capture their special moments in amazing, inspiring places, and I'm always excited to see where your celebration takes us next.

If your plans are flexible, youβre feeling spontaneous, and your vision aligns with a location Iβm prioritizing, Iβll share the best way to structure coverage, the specific locations that inspire me, and travel details so we can bring it to life.
β We were married abroad in Iceland, and Will invested so much time, effort, and energy into planning our day to make sure he captured exactly what we were looking for. We had numerous calls and emails before the wedding, and he came prepared with multiple backup plans for the weather, which made us feel so taken care of. He was professional, kind, and thorough, and also a calming, reassuring presence on the day when little hiccups came up. Looking through our photos transports us back to the incredible landscapes of Iceland, and weβll cherish them forever. β

Ready For Your Adventure?
βOur wedding day was in Portugal, and Will brought such a strong sense of calm and intention to the experience. His layout and timing allowed the day to flow so smoothly, and our second-day sunset session became one of the highlights of the entire experience. The gallery itself was breathtaking, and what stood out most was how all the emotion of the day was captured. Looking through it brings back every feeling.β

Frequently Asked Questions
-
A destination wedding or elopement is a wedding that takes place away from where you live, in a location chosen for the experience, scenery, or meaning it holds for you. It can be an elopement for just the two of you, an intimate wedding with a few friends or family, or a micro wedding that feels similar to a traditional wedding but with fewer guests. Regardless of size or direction, the focus is usually on creating a memorable experience in a place you are excited to be.
-
Travel and all its fun layers are built into my destination wedding packages whenever possible, so everything is simplified and clear from the start. I handle travel planning on my end and include travel as all-inclusive in your photography package, so you don't have to deal with surprise costs, added logistics, or extra planning later.
-
The days and hours of coverage depend on what you want documented. Some couples only need wedding day coverage, while others want a welcome dinner, rehearsal coverage, or a day-after session for a possible local adventure (those make the best memories). Most destination weddings benefit from more than one day of coverage, so the story feels complete, and the pace stays relaxed. Destination Packages are flexible as well, so you do not need to figure out the total coverage needs when you inquire or book. We can figure all that out later together, based on your needs.
-
Yes. Absolutely! This is a big part of what I do as your photographer. I will help you build a timeline around the best light, travel time, location access, and how you want the day to feel, so everything flows well and the photos look their best.
-
Yes. Iβm happy to share full galleries so you can see how I document a full wedding day from start to finish. This is also a great way to get inspiration, see coverage in different lighting, a variety of candid and creative photos, adapt to different locations, and document the small and big moments.
-
For popular seasons and destinations, it's best to book 6β12+ months ahead. Booking early gives us more time to plan locations, permits, travel logistics, and a timeline, leading to a smoother experience and better photos.
Still Got Questions?
